Hello, Charles
Just saw your post. Although my notes aren't readily handy, I would say your Eatons could be descendants of WILLIAM EATON SR (b.1760's-Grayson Co, VA) who moved to the Lynn Camp area of Whitley Co, KY by the early 1800's. I'm descended thru his son WILLIAM EATON JR (b.ca 1806-VA) who md. NANCY KNIGHT; & their son JAMES EATON (b.ca 1830) who md. MARY"POP"FADDIS; & their son FRANKLIN (b.1866) who md AMERICA MELISSA BARTON; their son THOMAS MILFORD EATON (b.1887) who md MARY IDA COBB; & their son (my father) CECIL EDGAR EATON (b.1920) who md. ESTHER MARIE BARKER.
If you don't already have the above, remind me via e-mail & I will look up what I have. I don;t have anything further back than WILLIAM EATON SR, but I can see what I have on his children & descendants to see where your ancestors fit in.
Nice to see another S.E. KY Eaton, which I haven't seen to many of on the net!
Regards,
Gerald
