Hi Peggy, I have just begun my search in the Hale family side of my tree. I think we are looking at the same folks but I am not sure. The info I have is from census's, Rhea County History books, and the almighty guess. My George Hale was born around 1800 and married a Lucinda Henderson on 7/21/1818 and had 5 kids in the 1830 census, 1 son born 1825-1830, 2 son's born 1820-1825 (one named Claudius (1821) I think), 1 daughter born 1815-1820, and 1 daughter born 1825-1830. The two ended up also having William Hale b 1832, John Hale b 1836, and Wyly Martin Hale b 1838.George either got rid of or Lucinda died between 1840 and 1847. He married Susan Eaton on 11/5/1847. In the 1850 Census she was 22 years old, (I later found her in the 1900 Census b Nov 1822).He ended up having 9 kids with Susan; George H Hale b 1842?? (mom could be Susun or Lucinda?) he married a S R A Henderson on 4/8/1869, Margaret E Hale b 1844?? (same), James Martin Hale b 1846?? (same) he married a Mary Jane Maryott b 1843 on 1/16/1866, unknown Hale b and d 1847-1880, Lucinda Hale b 7/1852 married John Coxey b 9/1852 on 1/27/1874, Minerva Hale b 11/1854 (my Great Great Grandmother) married H Jefferson Marshall 12/4/1873, Mary Linda Hale b 1857,Susan Hale b 1859, and Rebecca Hale b 3/1864.The Susan Eaton you was talking about does not match my dates. However, I do have an Elizabeth Hale I have found that died in Rhea County on 4/11/1845 and buried in Ewing Cemetery, she was born in 1799. She is buried next to another George Hale Born 1762. His stone reads George Hale born 1762 Dead after 175 years. I guess that means he lived until 1937???? Anyway, I have guessed George Hale (1762) was the father of Elizabeth Hale (1799) and
George Hale (1800). But like I said this is only a guess. I hope this info matches up a little more with your info.My sources for George Hale was the 1830, 1840, 1850, 1860, and 1870 Census and for Susan 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880, and 1900 Census.I also got the marriage and death info out of Rhea County marriage books and Cemetery listing books. You can see all this and all the info I have on the Hales and their decendants at
