Hi Joe, I deeply appreciate your wonderful and thorough and quick response to my post. You have helped greatly and I believe have cemented my Eaton-Eliot line for me. In my search process it seems to me that my family's Kelly and Brastow line has been unknown. Two first cousins and I are the only people of our generation still living. The eldest son of one cousin and I are the only ones from this line working on it separately on Ancestry.com. I wonder if you would be interested in visiting my tree and seeing the line which is now I think complete. Let me know and I will send you an invititation. I have heard about this family history from my mother and great aunt most of my life until they both passed. At 78, almost 79, it feels wonderful to "prove" it to be real.I have noticed how often and how well you respond over the years to posts--You are obviously an expert at this. Again thank you. My tree by the way shows us to be direct (?) descendants from father or mother to son or daughter all the way on both the Eliot and Eaton sides. This is why I thought you might be interested-ours is a very interesting family I think. Mary E. d. of John E. and Ursula is my great-great grandmother and her d. Charlotte A. Brastow (1844-1898) (father Billings Brastow)is my Great-grandmother. d.Marie Elisabeth Brastow (m. Dr. Henry J. Kelly NY) is my grandmother. Their youngest child (1899-1982) is my mother,Marie Elisabeth Kelly. I was born Marie Elisabeth Kavanagh (1931).
