Two Samuel Eberlys (b. 1892 and 1893) buried with their wives in Eberly Cemetery in Durlach are both referenced as Esquires in courthouse records.I think that the Samuel Eberly Esquire (b. 1792, d. 1865) who married Maria Brubaker was the same Samuel that previously married Mollie Mellinger. Will/intestate records reference this Samuel Eberly Esquire as the grandfather of Jacob and Maria Mellinger's children.Given this I think that Samuel and Mollie had a daughter Maria Eberly born prior to Samuel and Maria Brubaker's family started in 1815 (the birth of his oldest child with Maria Brubaker) -- this daughter Maria marries Jacob Mellinger (likely b. in 1790's, d. 1830) and dies herself in 1832 -- leaving five orphaned children in the care of her father Samuel Eberly, Esquire: Samuel Mellinger, Michael Mellinger, Maria Mellinger, Elizabeth Mellinger, and Catharine Mellinger (also have some details on these children, three of which are buried in Mellingers Cemetery outside Schoeneck).Would like to try to pin down the dates of Samuel Eberly/Mollie Mellinger marriage and the birth of their daughter Maria Eberly.Would be interested in:
1: Specific references to either Samuel Eberly's marriage to his first wife Mollie Mellinger or his second wife Maria Brubaker?
2: Details of Samuel Eberly and Maria Brubaker's family, particularly their first child.
Thanks,
