I just saw your post while "browsing"...hope this can help even tho it has been quite a while since you posted your query.

In the 1870 census for Spencer Co., Ohio TWP, Indiana, there is a Jacob Ebright who has a son, John (age 21 who was born in Ohio).

There are 2 "Marys" listed. One is Mary E., age 15. The other is just "plain" Mary at age 22. They surely did not have two daughters named Mary. The "plain" Mary was listed last, which indicates to me that she was not a daughter. Could she have been John's wife? She was born in Tennessee. Except for John, all of the other children were born in Indiana.
