Sylvia,
My grandmother, Maddalena Eccher, was born in Hazleton, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Her father, Antonio Eccher, was born in Tregiovo, Italy, formerly Austria. It is my understanding that the Ecchers first settled in this locality when they arrived in the United States. From there, they moved to different places all over the country. I have been in contact with the Colorado Ecchers, and I had the email addresses of some of them, but I lost them all a few months ago when my hard drive was completely eaten up by a virus. I had to have my hard drive reformatted, and I lost all of my data, including my genealogy. Luckily, I had most of my family history data backed up on a disk, but I haven't gotten around to getting it back on my computer. - Geno
