Frederic Eckhardt was my great grandfather and all I know he was born in Germany and came to the US in the mid 1800's and came through Detroit, Michigan and ended up in Rock Island, Illinois (actually a small farming community called Taylor Ridge).

He had a son Peter Eckhardt who was a doctor and was born approximately 1865. Peter married Mary Saulpaugh. They had three sons, Morris Don born in 1892, Arthur born in 1895 and Roger born in approx. 1899.

Any information you might have to share would be appreciated.
