Here is the information that I got from my grandfather. Oscar "the Ox" Eckhardt was the son of Oscar Eckhardt and Lila Wimbish Eckhardt. His father Oscar, Sr. was a doctor. Oscar, Jr. played football at Texas University and was in the SW Conference. He played baseball, too. Basically, he was an all-around athlete. Later in life in managed the Eckhardt Ranch in Yorktown, Texas. He died sometime in the 1950's. He had a brother, but I don't know his name. If you could give me some of the names of your Eckhardts I might be able to help you find a connection. I hoped this helped.
