It has been a few years since correspondence, but I saw something that I thought would be of interest on your (and my) Eckhardts. I am speaking of the Eckhardt in our line who originally came to the United States fo America. I am quoting from the Naturalization Records of Davidson County, Tennessee: "ECKHARDT, Gustave H. T.- {Naturalized} born in the State of Prussia on 9 Dec. 1824; immigrated to the United States in 1849; made his Declaration of Intention 28 Sept. 1855 before the Clerk of the Superior Court of New Orleans. -decree he be admitted to citizenship.." Youe Cloud is a descendant. I think your Cloud Eckhardt is the son of the Eckhardt mentioned above (we called him THEODORE). Thank you.
