Magdalena Eckman marr. Johann George Seal 1770 Trinity Luth.Church Lancaster PA

Johann George Seal married Magdalena Eckmaenn(in) of Lampeter Township at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster Pennsylvania in January 1770. The couple moved to Upper Paxton, Dauphin County shortly thereafter. Who was the father of Magdalena?

The most likely suspects are one of the sons of Johannes Eckman and Eva Dorthea Sides, but which one? The oldest son Johannes Peter Eckman had a daughter named Magdalena, but she reportedly married John Kunkel. Hieronimus' daughter Mary Magdalena born 1761 was too young. The same goes for Henry 's daughter by the same name born 1770. Jacob's children were all born too late.

1771 Lancaster County tax lists and the 1790 census in Lampeter show a Henry Eckman. The will of Henry Eckman probated 28 Aug 1790 mentions children Peter, Henry, Catharine and Elizabeth (but no Magdalena); executors were Peter and Heny Eckman, Lampeter township. The 1800 census of Lampeter shows a John Eckman.

Any help in sorting out the Eckmans who lived in Lampeter and may have had a daughter Magdalena of marriageable age in 1770 would be appreciated.
