I know it's been a long time but thank you for your information.I did not have the 1930 census.I'am happy to tell you that I got my grand-dad's military records just a few days ago from washington D.C.He enlisted on 19th of Dec. 1907 and was discharged dec of 1910.It even gave me a physical description of him!. Now though, it listed as a next of kin , a brother J. Markley of St. James, Mo. Have you come across anyone that may be a match for his brother?
My grandad was in the 1st. cavalry troop h. that was also formerly the unit of the "Rough Riders" in Roosevelt's day Thanks again for your help
