My Grandfather recently passed away and did not leave much as far as history on the Eddy side. This is what I have:
My Grandfather
Virgil Elsworth Eddy b. 9-6-1919 Mannington W. Va
-brothers: Charles Martin b. 1904 Sisters:Flossie b.1900
Arlie Everrett b. 1909 Genevieve b.1906
Lucian Bruce b. 1913 Belvia b.1911
Buddy Ivester b. 1916
Virgil's Father:
Swainey Otis Eddy b. 1879 or 1880 d. 1943 -Monongalia W. VA
or Garretsville W. VA
his brothers-Richard, Nimrod, Enos. Sister-Prudence
married- Charlotte Roupe from Green? PA b.1879 d.1956
Swainey's Father:
(This is where we are unsure. Grandpa thought these were the names)
Reesin or Resin Eddy (father)
Prudence Tennant (mother)
After Resin Eddy we had Jonathan Eddy B. 12-15-1689
D. 7-10-1745
Grandpa had this information written down in a bible.
I am hitting a wall trying to find anything. My father is the last Eddy in this line that I know of. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will share anything else I have.
