Hi Karen,

Your Eddys do connect to the two brothers from England.

Charles Eddy (James, Joshua, Zachariah, Samuel, William), b. Jan 24, 1755 at Glocester, RI (V.R.); d. Apr 5, 1830 at Oakland Twsp., Ontario, Canada. He published his intentions to marry Maranda (also spelled Myrane) King of Palmer, Mass. on May 10, 1775. He was married on Aug 31, 1775. (According to Palmer Rec. her name was Mercy King). She d. Sep 28, 1829 in Canada. She was the d/o Aaron King.

William Eddye is the earliest ancestor in the line (he was Vicar of St. Dunstan's Church in Cranbrook, County Kent, England. Two of his sons, Samuel and John, sailed to America in 1630 aboard a ship called the Handmaid. The Eddy Family Association's 1930 genealogy book traces this line as well as two others (John of Taunton, MA and John of Woodbridge, NJ).

So yes, your line is connected to William:)
