Bernie,

Thanks for your response. I would be interested in where you saw that John's middle name was Lloyd. I do not know much about what happened to the children of John (Henry) Eddy other than I saw Felix in the 1850 census of Marion County, AL. I heard he moved to AR in the 1850's and settled in Columbia and Lafayette Co. I think I saw a Confederate pension record for him in AR. Also in 1850 Marion Co. there was Letha (Nicholas's wife, I think)and children. I don't know where Nicholas was. I have also seen Confederate records of both Felix and Nicholas. There are land records in Winston County, AL that list George Eddy as a land owner in 1857-59.

Another researcher said that John Eddy who married Melinda Gaines was not our ancestor because they supposedly married in 1824 in Virginia and our John was in Lawrence Co., AL by that time. He says John's wife's name was Ann.
