According to the census reports,
could Daniel EDENS have possibly been married before in Va. Maybe Scott County, or Lee County, Va.) or close to Hancock County, TN?, between 1860 to 1861.

I mentioned this to another descendant of his a few years ago. I personally believe that he had another marriage before his marriage to Louisa "Vica" Ellen LYONS.

1870 Census, Hancock Co. TN.
Shows a son, Wesley EDENS, age 8 (b) VA
next child Mary (My direct ancester age 5 (B) TN

1900 Census, Daniel EDENS , Wife reports she has 8 children with 7 living. According to all of my research and census reports there shows 9 children of Daniel EDENS.

What's missing of Wesley EDENS?

Daniel and Louisa Ellen EDENS had one daughter born before the 1880 census, I know nothing about. He reported his travels on his pension application, several places.
But believe that daughter to have deceased before the 1900 census.
