Can anyone verify any of this info.....
my G-uncle ( Edens) stated that his father...Job B Edens
B-1871 in Smith co TN was part Indian( his mother being Indian)......I know that he had native american features.
my g-mother(Job's dau) had dark complection, long black hair and dark eyes,
Jobe's father was James Edens, his mother was the 2nd wife of James Edens...Mary Shoulders-Chaffin-Edens.
Story is...James being in fear of Indians trying to take his wife back, sold everything he had and along with all of his friends and neighbors...bough a large heard of mules and
came to Freeunion(Webster Co KY) where they sold the mules
and used the money to build their homes....before the homes were built a church was errected on James' property and he served as minister..........
