You are correct in that Mildred was your great grandmother, not your grandmother. I misspoke in my previous message. John Randolph Edens' second wife was Elizabeth Lee (Betty) Horn, your ancestor. They married in 1884 and she died in 1906 in Houston Co., TX. Balis Edens' second wife, your ancestor, was Ruth Ann Grigsby, daughter of John Grigsby and Hester Sharp. John Grigsby received a land grant of 4460 acres from The Republic of Texas in 1838 and that land now encompasses all of downtown Dallas. Much has been written about the "Grigsby Land Dispute" in Dallas history resulting from the various claims of John Grigsby's children from his two wives.
