Your Edens Family, started, as far as anyone knows, with David William Edens. He was born circa 1750 and (supposedly ) died 1808 in Bedford Co., Va. Circa 1773 he married Mary Ann Cobb (possibly in Bedford or Botecourt Co.). They had about 7 children: Benjamin Burden, Jesse Jeremiah, Ana Alexander, James, MIldred, David Elisha, and possibly son Henry. Members of this family moved to Kanawha Co. in the late 1820's and 1830's. Benjamin Burden was your ancestor.

I estimate Benjamin was born circa 1775 and possibly died circa 1825 in Kanawha Co.( or Bedford Co. ??). Circa 1805 he married Catherine Page, probably in Bedford Co. and they had about 6 children, including son Burden Benjamin, your ancestor.

Getting back to David William Edens, no one knows where he was born. Some say England, and there is a possibility that he was part of another Edens Family in Botecourt Co. That is yet to be proven.

I hope this answers your question. Bob Eddings - no relation.
