My Great Grandparents were John Wilson Edgley of Rockport (Escott TWP) and Eliza Jane Hunt. Both are buried in the old Rocport Prodestant Cemetary. My father, Howard W Edgley (1909-1998)also of Rockport claimed that John's father was Roswell and we know nothing more than that. We are very interested in any information that you may have about Roswell. FYI- The 1878 Recorder History lists an 1812 war payment to a Boswell Edgley of Rockport. Also the book "First Summer People of the 1000 islands" by Susan Smith lists a Fred Edgley as a landowner on Hill Island. We don't think that this was my grandfather Frederick Elmer Edgley (1884-1966).
