Valerie Farthing Bennetts 3/17/03
Hi Valerie, thank you for the post, I nearly missed them.
I am the one covering my face, the human one is my sister Shirley taken by her daughter about five years ago.
My niece Chantelle (her real name) is a dancer/model, tall very slim build.
My daughter is too, not quite as tall as her cousin though, has had two children,
is slimming back to her normal size.
My sister and I both have adult sons over six foot, the g/children are looking like future basket ball players.
I am on the way down now in height, pension very soon!
I would love (beg even) any photos, especially of you, is nice to have an image of the person you have contact with, do send please.
Janice sent me a 'lovely' photo of herself with her grandchildren.
Sheila is going to when she has one taken.
Those are marvellous descriptions Val! Thank you.
Your lot sound very cuddly and cute.
I have not seen all my fathers brother (13 survived after birth) some involved in my younger life, some killed in the war.
They were all six footers, Large/robust? in adult life.
Except my father, shortest of the bunch (from those brothers which I knew of) he
was smaller boned too, maybe because he was a twin? His identical twin died in infancy so cannot compare their height.
He had fair/ginger wavy hair, pale skinned (I wonder what my Gran's milkman looked like, joke)?! Quite different to his sibling that I knew or had seen photos of.
When I can rescue my photos from the back of garage (very full of boxes/furniture, no car though!) where the removal men dumped them 3 years ago, I will inflict them on you all, a couple of old Edgson photos.
They are my treasures, very worried about them being damaged from damp and rats.
Should have insisted on them being placed in the house, no point with those removal rats!
So you are descended (Paternal lines) from Roman nobility, how marvellous.
Janice has inventors, I have found none to compare in my ancestors(yet)!
I am just happy to have discovered mine at all (I would not mind a bit of colour though)!
I suppose my ancestors have slightly, when they (Maternals) were fishermen (may have seen a mermaid or two)! Or just to survive those early rural/hard times (Paternals) they must have been tough people, bless them.
Have only heard the name Septimus in Roman TV prog's, I bet it is popular in Italy though.
Emmanuel I have come across as both a 'first' + 'surname' very distinguished, the more unusual the names the better to trace!
I do have an 'obedient' printer Val (like to save photos to 'file' also) so please send photos when you have the time.
Many thanks, keep well, Linda.
PS.
Will answer other post, re' Murrell's separately.
Do you have a date for your Murrell please?
