Just checking LDS, I see that Absalom Edgington is indeed reported with mother as Mary Naylor in one record and Almira Leedom in another. The fairly consistent information on him is birthdate Abt 1776 (one also says 1778). I personally have no original documentation on this family group, however, it seems logical to look at marriage dates for his father George Jr and these two possible mothers of Absalom. George Edgington Jr is said to have married Mary Naylor Abt 1769 or 1770, then Almira Leedom Abt 1797. Logically then, Absalom born Abt 1776 would be the son of Mary Naylor. The common source of info on these Edgingtons appears to be Thompson's Historical Collections of Adams Co, Ohio. Take a look for George Edgington and/or Absalom at Family Tree Maker (FTM) http://www.familytreemaker.com/
