Julia,

Thanks for your message, and in spite of your "Lydia" being 70 years younger than mine, your Edgertons are probably related to these.

I found out since I posted that message that LYDIA LORD EDGERTON (1812-1836) was the daughter of Luther EDGERTON and Lydia WATERMAN of Norwich, Connecticut, and Washington Co., Ohio. Thanks goes to researcher and historian Linda Fluharty of Baton Rouge (www.lindapages.com) who has contributed so much to the Wheeling, West Virginia web sites.

You and I corresponded in 2005, when I wrote you: "I found your name as an Edgington researcher on one of the Ohio Co., West Virginia web pages." At the time, you didn't have a "Lydia" in your database, but you've added a lot in the past two years!

Keep me in mind if you ever run across any references to David Hadden.

Regards,
Annie Crenshaw
