Thanks for the update on Alma. Forgot to answer your question re: the Edney name earlier today. It has been recorded in England as far back as the 6th century according to other researchers. I found it in Scottish history and verified through the MacDuff Clan that one Edney family was a member of the MacDuff Clan. It also shows up in the Welsh genealogy of King George II of England and is spelled Edneyfed. Have no idea how they all relate. Needs a lot more work.
