It would be interesting to look at how some of the Edneys came to Dyer County. If you learn anything, let me know. This is all I know about what you mentioned in your 7/13 note: In an 1850 Census, Nancy Edney was listed as 34 years old and it appears that three children are listed as follows: F. C., son 13 yrs., Sarah, daughter, 6 yrs., and Milton, son 2 yrs. Could it be that her husband might have died? You probably didn't learn anything new from this information, but I hope it still might be helpful.
