I can add a couple of famous Edneys to your list. Samuel Edney was supposedly the first Methodist minister and circuit rider in Western North Carolina and was the first Methodist minister to be ordained in the New World, by a close personal friend of his and his father-in-law's (William Mills). His brother Asa Edney was also a Methodist minister and circuit rider in Western North Carolina, but was not as well known as his brother Samuel. Samuel was born in 1765 in eastern North Carolina. Asa was born in 1772. Jeaneane Williams
