I live about 4 miles from the villiage of South Mills, NC in a housing development called Edney Creek Ct. I was lucky to get the last lot for sell. There is one lot the people who bought it live in NY and never have built. I don't know if they still own it or not. They used to come once a year but no one has seen them lately. This land was in trust for my father's severly retarded cousin and when he died it was sold out of the family. I had no idea then that I would come home. My lot is next to the cementary where my great-great Grandfather William B. Old is burried. His mother was Sarah Edney. She was one of the hairs of John Edney who died about 1825.
