I am still piecing this together, in fact, I hope to find some info here in some earlier posts.

What I have right now might help a bit though.

I have a Samuel Edney married to Mary Kelly I believe he is from North Carolina. I was told his father was Robert Edney, and mother Ann Wrencher and that he had a brother named Asa. I am still confirming this and looking for more info on dates and location and other relatives.

What I already had:

I show Samuel having a son named Newton Edney b 1763, North Carolina d. 1835, Tennessee.

Newton married Rachel Koonce b. 1756 North Carolina, d. 1826 Tennessee.

Their son, Samuel Edney b. 1800 Tennessee, d. 1858 Brenham, Washington County, Texas.

Samuel married Martha Phipps, b. 1799 Virginia, d. 1868, Brenham Texas.

I have six children listed for them, of which Catherine is my husbands direct ancestor. She married Thomas Hood in 1863 in Texas. Thomas was from North Carolina.

I'm sorry I don't have any siblings listed prior to Catherine, that is one thing I am working on.

However, you wanted a path from North Carolina to texas and there it is.

Hope this helped.

Sandy
