I read with interest the name Alson Edney among the list of names you listed. My John Hunter, b. N.C. married Mary _____ and had 11 or 12 children. Among the children was a son named Alson Edney Hunter, b 15 Dec. 1820, somewhere in N.C. The name Alson E. was also given among his descendants and in the Ayres family. We have been trying for years to find out who Mary was and figure out the E in Alson's middle name. So you can see how pleased I am to see that there is another Alson Edney. Is there a way you can help my line? I descend from Alson Edney Hunter's sister Nancy Ann. (The other Hunter siblings were named maybe John Farmer, a dau name unknown, Ianthe/Cynthe/Jutha?, Minerva, Elizabeth, Artemisa, Martha, John H.O., and Margaret C./K.) Thank you.
