I've been reading the Edney mail and found your message today.

Please note a message was posted on this board, which shows Robert & Ann Edney owned land in Maryland. They gave Thomas Renshaw a Power of Attorney to Thomas Rencher/Renshaw to sell it in 1722, which was two years before the first document in North Carolina appeared with their names (1724). A man named Underwood Renchaw/Renshaw was a witness on the document.
