Mr. Godfry,
We have communicated before. Just to let you know, I'm the one who wrote the stories for the newspaper that Mr. Edwin Peeler keeps quoting when replying to e-mails. I spent several years writing the series for the Times-News in Hendersonville, NC, on the old historical cemeteries and also serve on the Henderson County Cemetery Advisory Board.
Eleanor Mills is buried in the cemetery with Samuel Edney.
This cemetery was on the site of the Rev. Samuel Edney homeplace. The name, per county listings, is now officially changed to Edney/Coston Cemetery. Baylis (Bailis) Edney, son of Samuel, had the property until his death in Civil War.
Still working on Coston connection, but appears a Coston married into the Edney family at some point, or bought the land at some point.
This cemetery was left to the Edneyville Methodist Church by Samuel Edney per old deeds found in the Henderson County Courthouse.
