South Dakota Edney

I stumbled upon this Edney discussion. I am an Edney originally from South Dakota. My brother, father and grandfather's names are William. My father was born in Nebraska. In my family's possession is a sealer for use with wax that has the initial "W" on it. Supposedly handed down and originating in England and I was told that the "W" was for William. It is tradition in my family for the first born son of a William to be named William and this tradition has continued.
I am new to all this and found the conversations very interesting. My uncle a number of years ago visited Edneyville.
I don't have any information really to help but would be interested to know how we are connected.
