Hi Lauren,
You are quite right. My father was from Clonakilty, Cork -- but when his brother and sister died there, the small family farm went -- and now there are no Eedy's there.
As far as I am aware I am the only Eedy left here. My father died some 20 years ago, and I was an only child.
Although married we have no kids, and looks like the end of the line.
I'm now 48, a Consultant Dermatologist, and do a fair bit of academic publishing, including being Editor of British J of Dermatology (Blackwell's!)!
I did look Eedy up on the internet once, sent an email to a publishing house in Canada, but never got a reply. I quess I just now have.
I don't think there are many Eedys around? I did trace one person to an Africian Mission type job -- she was a medic as well.
Perhaps we are the last of a small group?
