I am descended from Sarah and James Egan (Hagan) who migrated to Australia 'assisted passage' on 19 Oct 1838 with two sons William and James. James was my grandmother's father. They had several more children one of whom was the person you are researching - Sarah. I have basic information about Sarah as I am not pursuing her line.

'Sometime during the late 1940’s Matilda’s children received an inheritance (I cannot remember if it was fifteen or forty pounds each) from the estate of George Proctor. I do not know when or where he died, but think it took some years, and some referral back to Ireland before his estate was finalised.' Matilda was a sister to Sarah.
