My Grandmother's mother's (my Great Grandmother)married name was Mary Ann Egan. Her maiden name was Mary Ann Melville and was married to John Egan. They lived in or near Sneem, County Kerry, Ireland. My Grandmother was Elizabeth M. Egan who married Jeremiah W. Sullivan (also from Sneem). She had several sisters (brothers??) the one I remember most was the youngest,Helen. My Grandfather/ Grandmother lived most of their USA lives in the Boston area and my Grandfather was Chief of Police of Everett, Mass. My family and I are going to Ireland in June for the first time. One other thing about my grandmother is that an Uncle of her's was a William Melville who became one of the first Directors of the British Secret Service. There is a book written about him by an Andrew Cook: MI5- The Original Spymaster.
