Thomas James Egan, of Willow Springs, IL, passed away after a one-year courageous battle with cancer. Thomas was the beloved husband of Marybeth, nee Lauesen; dear father of Timothy (Heidi), Daniel (Beth) and Colleen (Robert) Ciezczak. He will be especially missed by his five grandchildren Hillarie, Jack, Connor, Sadie and Brennan. He joins his late parents Edward and Beatrice, nee McDonnell, his late brothers Cookie and Gerald and is survived by his sister Dolores Hoople and brothers Patrick and Emmett. Thomas "T.J." served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966 as a Sergeant in the Military Police. He then began a 42-year career in the trucking industry and worked for Gateway, Murphy and retired from ARF (Carolina Freight) in 2007. He was fond of his Irish-Catholic Southside heritage and was a die-hard Chicago Bears and White Sox fan and will have a commemorative brick placed in memoriam at U.S. Cellular Field on Opeing Day 2008. Visitation 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to St. James at the Sag Bridge Church, Lemont, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Loyola Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, Maywood, appreciated. Funeral Home Phone 708-352-6500
