The Bishop of Hereford was Henry Egerton b 10.2.1668, Canon of Christ Church Oxford, Rector of Whitchurch,Bishop of Hereford 1723. died 1.4.1746.He married Elizabeth Ariana Bentinck dau of William 1st Earl of Portland 18.12.1720 she died 8.11.1765.
Francis Henry Egerton 8th Earl of Bridgewater had 2 brothers, General John William Egerton, 7 th Earl of Bridgewater and John the first born died as an infant 1749, and 1 sister, Amelia b 1751 married 25.4.1771 Sir Abraham Hume of Wormleybury 2 nd Bart died 1838.
Their father was the Rev John Egerton b 30.11.1721 d 18.6.1787, Bishop of Bangor 1756, of Litchfield and Coventry 1768, and Durham 1771
He married 1st Anna Sophia Grey she died 1710. He then married 1782, Mary Rouse Boughton sister of Sir Charles William Rouse Boughton, Bart.
