I know it's been around ten years since you've posted this, but I believe I might have some information. I'm a Tennessean descended from a Safronia Underwood. She was my great-great-great-grandmother through the paternal line.
Her name is listed in my grandfather's Bible, but her husband's name is Tom/Thomas Veals, and the daughter I am descended from through them is Lucy/Lucinda. (Coincedentally, from the same generation as Lucy, I have a great-great-grandmother named Ellen/Ella/Ellie?)
Some of the details are not correct, but I thought it *might* be helpful. I've just started my research and I have yet to find out if she had other children, or maybe another spouse. Safronia Underwood, in Tennessee, just seemed too unique a name and place to be a coincedence. :)
