Hello Mr. Evance, I'm by no means and expert but regretfully, I believe your friend, Mr. Richard Eggleston has passed away. I got this information from the Social Security Death Index List. I'm hoping it isn't him but since it lists him as being from Elkhart, IN I feel that it is. You could contact the newspapers in Elkhart or the State Libray of Indiana and see if you could get an obituary to confirm as it may mention that he served in the SeaBees. I hope this information helps in some way.
