Hello!

I am in possession of the original document for Oliver M. Eggelston (as the name appears on the document in hand writing) Dated July 24 1863 from the provost Marshal's Office in the 24th District of New York. The document is notifying Oliver that he is legally drafted in the service of the US for 3 years and to report on Aug 14 1863 to Aubrun, NY (or be deemed a deserter).

I have this document from my grandmother Esther M. Skinner (daughter of Howard R. Skinner and Clara Adell Lawson) who passed all the documents/photo's she had in her possession to my mother Bonnie.

I am trying to identify the connection this document has to the Skinner or Lawson family line. I am not sure if the person that wrote in Oliver's name misspelled it or I am in the wrong branch all togeher.

I can be emailed at lcleder@gmail.com

I appreciate anyones help.
