I don't have much information going back that far, but his father was Richard Eggleston Jr. (1652-?). His grandfather is Richard Eggleston Sn. (1611-1708). Richard senior was born in London England, and immigranted to Virgina in 1635 landing in James County, where he established the Old Powhatan.
Joseph had two wives, unknown first late wife's first name. However she died in childbirth with his first son, Benjamin Eggleston. Benjamin was the inheriter of Old Powhatan. Joseph then married your kin, Anne Pettus Eggleston (1702-Oct 24, 1736)and had 6 more children.

Joseph is my husband's ninth generation great grandfather :)
