Colleen Pierce contacted me after seeing our posts on this forum. Do you know her? She emailed me a pic of Martin and Anna. On the mat surrounding the pic is the photo studio name and location. It shows, Springfield OH. Therefore Martin must have been in Ohio as Rufus says in his history. I looked in 1840 and 1850 Ohio census. In 1840 there are several Ehrhardt families in Darke County Ohio all living next door to each other. I thought this must be the clan since Rufus said that two brothers and a cousin came together from Hannover. But in 1850 Darke county their birthplaces are given as Virginia. Rufus said his grandmother was born in Virginia. So, I thought possibly the census was in error, as it can be. But then the names are not a perfect fit, but maybe you know more of the names than I. My thinking here is that perhaps our John W. is listed as William on that census. Lots of speculation here but I have not found anything else that remotely fits. Have you found them in 1840 and 1850 or 1860?
My aunt brought me pics. There is a very nice one of Raymond, Rex, Arlie, and Dorothy as small children.
Well, my brain is not functioning good today. I should have emailed you direct. Hope you get this. If I don't here from you reasonably soon, I'll go the other route.
