I hope somebody has help even though this is all the information we have on the immigrant ancestors: John EHRHARDT, b. 1808, Germany, came to America ca. 1828, & m. 1845, PA, Cecelia ROSE, b. Germany. They had John AIRHART, b. ca. 1848, Hagerstown, Washington Co., MD; & Mary, b. 18__. They lived around Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA, and moved ca. 1862, to Savanna, IL, where John AIRHART m. 1873, Louisa HIRSHMILLER, also from the Chambersburg-Hagerstown vicinity. (Hagerstown, MD, is about twenty miles south of Chambersburg, PA). John & Louisa had a son Albert in 1874, Savanna, Carroll Co., IL, That is in the northwestern part of Illinois. We have been unable to find the family on the 1850 & 1860 Censuses of MD & PA.

Newspaper Abstracts, Legal Notice, Hagerstown Gazette, 19 Dec. 1809. Geo. KNODE & wf. v. Jacob EARHART & wf. Mary, absent from the county, & Michael KAPP; division of real estate of Michael KAPP, decd., intestate.

With various spellings of surname, the 1790 PA Census had Anthony, Christian, Daniel, Henry, Jacob, John, Michal, Peter, Phillip, Thomas, & William. In Rapho T., Lancaster Co., PA, Daniel EHRHART, 2 males 16+, 2 males under 16, & three females; Christian ERHART, 4-0-4. In Warwick T., Lanc. Co., Jacob EHRHART, 1-2-2. In Shrewsbury T., York Co., there were Wm., John, Jacob, & Thos. ERHART; Warrington T., York, Phillip ERHART 1-3-2, & Phillip AIRHART 1-3-5; Reading T., York, Anthony AIRHORT. In Bucks Co. (divisions not shown), Peter & Henry ERHART. In Philadelphia, Eighth S. bet. Walnut & Spruce, Michal ERHART 1-0-4.
