George,
My name is Karen Borden. I am researching the Ehrhardt line for my husband's cousin, Brent Richard Ehrhardt. Brent's father recently passed away and he is interested in his Ehrhardt family. His father who just passed a week ago Thursday last was Richard Avery Ehrhardt.
His father was Avery L. Ehrhardt (b. 25 July 1908)
His father was Rufus Ehrhardt (B. Sept 1882)
His father was William M. Ehrhardt (b. May 1860).

William M had a brother John H. born Sept 1864. In the 1870 census they are living with Herman and Sarah Folken in Salisbury Twp, Chariton County. In the 1910 census William says his father was born at sea. His family tradition says they came from Germany. Do you know of this line? Who were the parents of William and John? What happened to them?

Thank you for any information you may be able to offer. Brent's birthday is coming up and I would like to get this together to give him as a surprise gift. I know he will treasure it always. Sincerely, Karen Borden
