I did find the John W. on the census and put him down as a possible father of William and John with a BIG question mark. Who were the children of John W? Did he have sons, William M. and John H.? On the 1910 census, it shows the father of William M. as being "Born at sea". It shows his mother born in Virginia. Do you think this is a correct connection? Anxious to hear from you again.

P.S. My husband's cousin, Brent Ehrhardt, has a VERY old gun that belonged to some of his ancestors. He told me that it was either inscribed with names of several previous Ehrhardt owners, or he has a paper that someone wrote down the names of the owners. He is planning to come here in the next 60 days or so and bring the gun to show me. He thinks I'm an expert at family history and so he wants me to tell him how the men are related to him. (In all actuallity, I did not research his father's line; only his mother's since she is my husband's mother's sister.) I just thought it would be nice to give him a binder all fixed up with HIS family history. That's why I'm doing this. He is a little younger than my husband and just lost his father and it would mean so much to him. Thank you for your help.
