Eisenzapf Eisenzoff Eisenzaph Eisenzopf
I have the different names listed above because different people in my mother's family spelled their names differenly.
Based on what my mother told me Her Grandfather was Joseph Eisenzapf. From what I understand about family history, he came from the area of Northern Italy. I also understand that the boundries changed alot in the mid 1800's. It's possible that he came from Trieste in current day Slovenia. Joseph is said to have worked in the Italian Court in Rome aa a teacher or translator. There he met Marie Agnese and was married roughly 1890. They decided to move to America in 1892. But Marie had a baby just before they were to sail to America. That would have been Joseph. My mother's father. Several months later when Marie was well enough to travel they sailed to America.
All together they had 7 children.
Jasper,
Joseph,
Otto EISENZOFF,
James EISENZOPF,
John,
William
and Eda.
Jasper married to unknown.
Joseph married Anna DeBuona.
Otto married Celeste.
James married Lucy.
John married Sadie.
William married Philomona.
and Eda married James Charrelli.
If anyone knows of any of these people, please let me know. There's another generation or 2 of the children and grandchildren of these people.
