From what my mother has told me about her Father, Joseph Jr. was born in Italy shortly before his parents (Joseph Sr. and Marie Agnese) were supposed to leave for America in 1892. I'm not sure from where in Italy. But Naples is a place frequenly in family legend.

Joseph Sr. was one of many Eisenzopfs who was working in the Royal Courts of Italy and Austria-Hungary. So my mother says. He was not born in Italy. I've been told he came from the area north of Italy or northern Italy where the boundrys has changed frequenly in the last 125 years.

I am not sure exactly what Joseph Sr did. I believe he was at least an attorney. But I'm probably wrong about that. I'd have to ask my mother again.

Maybe Joseph Sr is the Josef that you talk about.
