They have as much on this family as they do on the other. I have three Equity Court cases from Chester (from SC Archives) involving this WM's family. Well, one of them is in question, but the other two are definitely the correct family. The society in Edgefield is trying to separate the families, but with little success. Didn't have the same for Chester. I talked to a man in Chester who told me the books are in a jumble in the basement of the courthouse in Chester. No order whatsoever as he put it. Not a good thought for a short visit of only a couple days. At that time, about the only thing he had was not for genealogy. So we made a choice to at least visit the area.

It's a beautiful town, with some old buildings.
