Seamus,
I had the information on the Elcock coat of arms generated by The Historical Research Center database through a shop located in a mall in Baltimore. It gave the following description:
Gules, a saltire vair between four cocks argent.
Translation: Gules (red) signifies Magnanimity and Argent (white), Peace.
Crest: Out of a mural coronet or, a demi cock azure, combed, beaked and wattled of the first; in the beak an ear of wheat of the same.
Origin: England.
I am not what this all means. Any thoughts?
My Elcock ancestors were from Tonbridge, Kent, England.
