Hi Walter, I've had alittle bit of luck with my ELDENS, but not until this last week. I wrote to you before on the Bahamas forum. I just noticed your dad & mine share the same middle name. Also the Eleuthera Elden's, are usually spelled with the E, rather than the O, I just found this out. I joined a group,
It's a wonderful group, everyone searching for their relatives, & very much information going back & forth through members. Membership is free, but you are screened to be certain your goals are the same as the group, to find your past family members. I haven't found any Elden's as current (no pun intended) as 1904, I think the latest one is Irene Ernestine Elden born 29 Oct 1875, she was born The Current, Eleuthera, Bahamas. I ordered film 0222991
from LDS, family search center, but only found 2 Elden's on it. Maria E. Elden married H. Brayman 19 July 1875, at Current settlement, Eleu. in the presence of: Edeona ? Elden, ( Not sure of first name on Elden), & Edgar R. Hall. I did find out that the Hall's & Elden's property adjoined. Good luck on your quest, hope to see you in future on Bahamian group.
