Thank you so much for your help finding the right family ties. I've been trying to connect The Floyds backward from Texas and have settled on the York, SC area in early 1800s. Finally the families are falling into place and the long range of neighbors is making sense. Now if I could spend another 6 months poking around these new family connections I should be clear, sort of. It seems as if the initial rush to Texas brought quite a few adventurers.
